The QDS Trail Ranger
Big Acres in a Small Package
The Trail Ranger is a compact, high-capacity mobile drone tender built for serious field operations. It delivers the water volume, chemical handling, and operator visibility normally found on much larger rigs, packaged into a platform that stays easy to tow, position, and deploy in tight or remote fields.
This is not a hobby trailer. It is a purpose-built logistics hub for professional spray drone crews who need speed, stability, and reliability in real agricultural conditions.
Built for real field work
The Trail Ranger is built on a rugged 14 foot trailer platform with dual 7,000-lb axles, giving it the strength and stability required for full water and chemical loads without sacrificing maneuverability. The diamond-plate deck and fully powder-coated frame provide long-term corrosion resistance and durability in harsh, wet, and chemical-exposed environments.
Dual front leveling jacks lock the trailer into position on uneven ground, creating a stable working platform even in rough fields. A rear-mounted integrated ladder gives operators safe, fast access to the deck during mixing and servicing.
Designed for faster, safer operations
A clean deck and stable footing matter when operators are working around chemicals, batteries, and expensive aircraft. The Trail Ranger layout keeps hoses off the ground, eliminates clutter, and gives crews predictable, repeatable workflows.
The built-in ladder and elevated deck height allow operators to work comfortably during mixing, tank refills, and system checks without improvised steps or unsafe climbing.
Crow’s Nest elevated pilot platform
The Trail Ranger includes the patent-pending Crow’s Nest, an elevated observation platform that extends up to 12 feet above ground level. This platform is designed specifically to help pilots maintain visual line of sight during drone operations, even in tall crops, rolling terrain, or obstructed fields.
This is not a landing deck. It is a dedicated visual and situational awareness platform that improves control, safety, and regulatory compliance during flight operations.
High-capacity fluid handling in a compact footprint
The Trail Ranger is designed around serious spray volume. It carries:
- 525 gallons of fresh water
- 300 gallons of cone-bottom chemical storage
This capacity allows extended operations without constant refilling while keeping the trailer footprint small enough for farm roads, headlands, and tight field entrances.
Fluid movement is powered by professional-grade pumps:
- 190 GPM Pacer fresh water pump
- 1 HP AMT self-priming chemical pump
All plumbing uses chemical-resistant polypropylene fittings for long service life and reduced maintenance.
Two 50 foot auto-retractable hose reels for freshwater and chemical delivery keep the deck organized and dramatically reduce turnaround time between flights.
Integrated security for high-value equipment
A true mobile spray base
The Trail Ranger delivers the working capacity of much larger tender trailers without the towing, positioning, and setup headaches that come with oversized rigs. It gives operators the water, chemical handling, visibility, and stability they need to cover serious acreage while staying mobile, efficient, and field ready.
